Common Names: Yellow Ratsnake
Scientific Name: Pantherophis obsoletus quadrivittatus (HOLBROOK, 1843)
Ventrals: 225-245
Subcaudals: 75-102
Mid Dorsal: 27-29
Adult Pattern: Four longitudinal stripes 2-3 dorsal scales wide
Juvenile Pattern: Saddles
Tongue: Black
Iris: Yellowish Orange/Grey
Av.Adult Length: 100-170cm
Av.Hatch Length: 25-35cm

Yellow Ratsnakes intergrade with the Black ratsnake, P.o.obsoletus in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia where there ranges meet. In Southern Florida it intergrades with The Everglades Ratsnake, P.o.rossaleni. In north Florida and parts of Georgia it intergrades with The Grey Ratsnake, P.o.spiloides
